* NEw ! NEW ! NEw ! GROUP MEETINGS <3
We are proposing to meet every other Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 6 (March 3, 17 and 31, to start with) to discuss your work, and many other matters related to your practice, in a relaxed way, as a group. We feel that there are not that many moments right now to just sit and talk about work, art, life and we would like to invite you to participate, either by just being a spectator or by proposing to discuss a piece you are working on right now, or a matter that you feel needs to be discussed. These discussions will take place in your studio at BH or at a place inside the school you feel comfortable to be showing things in.
We is a small group composed of Marlie, Lili, Jonas, Lou, Dorine, Laure and workmaster teachers who will want to join. Of course we are not going to be all present for each session : it will be a changing and flowing group structure, according to who is present and who has time to join these moments. If we are too many, we might split in two or three groups, so that it remains safe and not intimidating for anyone.
These are not critical sessions, neither studio visits or rendez-vous : consider it an experiment, for the time being, and then we may give these afternoons a name – or not. The idea is to set moments that are a bit more flexible than what the current workmaster structure allows for and to remain open to whatever might happen during those sessions. But keep in mind that it would be nice if you could attend the full session, and work and exchange together, as a group. Whoever is interested in participating can drop us an email (you can write either to Lili, Marlie, Lou, Jonas, Dorine ou Laure!) You can of course also just turn up, but it would be nice to figure out who will attend and not.
This is more especially dedicated to students who are not working on their thesis right now, but if you are working the thesis and want to relax or discuss it, please join !
* Nouveau ! Nouveau ! Nouveau !

Work.Master Magazine Open Call:
A few of us Work Master’s students are launching a magazine and we need your participation. The idea is simple. This 100% student-led magazine is our space, a space where can show our work, where we can voice our opinions, and where we can just have fun and mess around.
The work contained within can be works in progress, finished works, photography, text pieces, and any other format that can fit into the paper format. We are also thinking of creating an online space on which we could upload multimedia work. We would also love for the magazine to have other collaborative rubrics, such as a “letters to the editor” or a message board, an interview rubric, etc.
This magazine is meant to be editorially independent from the school and from the heads of the Masters. It can be the forum in which we can discuss, comment, joke and criticize what happens inside and outside the school. It can be a channel of communication to the faculty and the administration.
Last but not least, this is meant to be fun. Lets’s keep it experimental.
Want to participate? Have an idea? Don’t have an idea but want to participate anyways? Sign up by sending us an e-mail to workmastermagazine@gmail.com with your name and any ideas or content you already have. Once we have your information, we will send you a e-mail explaining what to do next. The printed version will be published in late May. Please contact us as soon as you can so that we can get started. Next editorial meeting will take place onThursday, 4th of March at 5 PM on Zoom or in person if COVID permits. info to comes on WM calendar.) Anyone who wishes to join the editorial team is welcome. We will use this occasion to think of rubrics, names for the magazine, the general organization and anything else that comes up.
We are super excited to get this started and we can’t wait to collaborate with you all. Stay safe.
Love,
The Master’s Magazine team
